Make-A-Wish Foundation: Night of Wishes

Helping deliver magic one child at a time

At Kennebec Savings Bank, community isn't just a place we work, it's the heart of everything we do. That's why we were proud to have sponsored Make-A-Wish Maine's Night of Wishes, a magical evening uniting people from across the state to celebrate the incredible work of Maine-A-Wish Maine. Together, we had the privilege of granting a wish -- a journey to Universal Studios for a young Harry Potter enthusiast. Our involvement in this deserving nonprofit reflects our unwavering commitment to uplifting the spirits of our community's youngest members and helping make their dreams a reality.

Special Olympics Maine: Lobster Dip

Making a splash for deserving athletes

Kennebec Savings Bank took the plunge alongside fellow Mainers at Old Orchard Beach for Special Olympics Maine's Lobster Dip. Among the sea of supporters, our team of employees dipped into the icy waters, honored to contribute to such a meaningful cause. Through the collective efforts of our community, including KSB's top ten fundraising team, we were thrilled to support the resilience and determination of Special Olympics athletes. It's a privilege to play a small part in their journey, fostering inclusivity and unity throughout Maine.

Maine GearShare: Free Gear Repair Pop-Ups

Expanding outdoors programming for the people of Maine

Maine GearShare, based out of Brunswick, works to promote equitable access to outdoor recreation by acquiring, maintaining, and lending gear to trip leaders and nature-based educators. Through their work, they found that some people had gear, but they couldn't afford to fix it -- and their idea for a free gear repair pop-up event was born. When they approached us with this vision, we eagerly stepped in to provide support through a sponsorship and helping them to find an event host. As we continue to support these repair events across the greater Freeport area, we are honored to contribute to Maine GearShare's goal of making outdoor adventures accessible to all Mainers.
