Internships at Kennebec Savings Bank

Connecting College Students with Banking Careers in a Supportive Setting

For more than two decades, Kennebec Savings Bank has mentored college students through our well-known internship program. Since it began in 1996, the program has seen over 100 participants and was the start of a career at Kennebec Savings Bank for roughly a dozen of our 200 employees.

Interns are positioned in various departments throughout the Bank and provided with opportunities to broaden their skill set. The program is designed to be highly engaging, helping students better understand the scope of careers in banking. Internships typically take place during the summer months. Each year, applications open in January.

Summer 2023 Internship Roundtable

Kennebec Savings Bank's summer 2023 Marketing interns Danielle H. of the University of Maine and Cole L. of Thomas College, as well as Human Resources intern Tanner H., also of Thomas College, sat down to discuss what it was like working at the Bank.

Over the course of the summer, Danielle, Cole, and Tanner worked on the Spotlight Series. This project involved interviewing their fellow interns, learning video production and graphic design best practices, and working through social media strategies to successfully produce and share quality content.

In this video, the three share what it was like working on the series together, the skills they gained at Kennebec Savings Bank, and one word that sums up their individual experiences.
