Internships
Gain Real-Life Experiences in a Supportive, Engaging Setting
For more than two decades, Kennebec Savings Bank has mentored college students during the summer season through our well-known internship program. Since it began in 1996, the program has seen over 100 participants and was the start of a career at Kennebec Savings Bank for roughly a dozen of our 200 employees.
Interns are positioned in various departments throughout the Bank and provided with opportunities to broaden their skill set. Internships typically take place through the summer months. Applications open in January; additional information will be available at that time.
Kennebec Savings Bank President & CEO Andrew Silsby says, "The internship program is an integral part of our culture at Kennebec Savings Bank. Opportunities to apply what they are learning in the classroom to real-world business settings will help them be more successful in their future careers. It’s one way we can do our part in preparing tomorrow’s business leaders and showing them first-hand the job opportunities and pathways that exist right here in Maine.”
The program has been featured in Forbes, Mainebiz and the Independent Banker.
